Badawi's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Badawi... (Buh-DOW-ee)... What a handsome boy he is!  His medium length Brown Tabby coat is super soft and his markings are gorgeous!   He and his littermate, Zari, both have Swahili names!  Badawi means 'nomad' and Zari means 'beautiful'!  Fitting for these two, for sure!
These two sweeties are from a feral colony but their mama is super loving and friendly with the caretakers, and they had access to a nice warm garage to get out of the weather, which was equipped with a couch, straw, lots of places to cuddle up in cardboard boxes, on/in sleeping bags, and several blankets to snuggle in, too - plus TOYS to play with!  Spoiled, don't you think?!  Their caretakers came at a regularly scheduled time everyday to feed & water them daily and their mama (named Purr) and several other kitties in the colony (including her sister, Rascal) have all been trapped-neutered-released (TNR) back to the property - so no more babies from the females and potential daddies!!  :)   YAY!!
Badawi was a bit shy and scared when he first came in... he wanted attention but was afraid until you actually picked him up and then his motor just started rumbling!  He is a bit of a talker, too!   He has since turned into a sweetheart!  He and Zari like to tackle each other and 'fight'... which is why we always suggest adopting a pair of kittens if there aren't other animals in the home for them to play with!  Kittens have a natural 'aggressiveness' and they want to stalk and 'kill prey'... and a littermate is the purrfect 4-legged creature for that training exercise!  When they have a playmate as a kitten, they entertain each other - as well as their human family - whereas a single kitten may get into a lot of mischief looking for something to 'kill' or beat up on!!  "Until there are none, please adopt one; So they aren't blue, why not adopt two"  (author unknown)  Badawi is ready for the purrfect family to adopt him and take him home... how about yours??
Badawi's adoption fee is $100.00.  He was born around 5/6/18 (4 months old as of 9/6/18) and is neutered, has had 3 FVRCP vaccinations and his rabies vaccination, has been dewormed and treated for other parasites with Revolution, a topical preventative.  He tested negative for Feline Leukemia and he is also Microchipped!  We register your chip for you at no charge, and there is NO ANNUAL FEE for our microchips;  unlike some other microchip companies who charge you $20 to register them under your name and then charge you a $20 annual fee to keep your pet microchip registration in their system!   You only need to contact the company if/when you would change your name, phone number or address.  For all the vetting our cats/kittens have had done, their adoption fee is a BARGAIN!
Badawi would love to be adopted with his sister!  Adopt this pair of kittens and save $25.00!  He is being fostered in Waterloo, IA and may be in attendance at adoption events at the Waterloo Petsmart Store, or perhaps even be residing in the Adoption Center!  Please apply online for him through the Last Hope Animal Rescue website at !
